One World, One Voice was a charity collaboration project conceived by Kevin Godley (of 10cc), released on CD in the UK. Godley recorded the music by going all over the world and have one continuous "chain tape". There is all kinds of different musical styles and they all blend in with each other. The album features Sting, Godley & Creme, Laurie Anderson, The Chieftains, Clannad, Salif Keita, Lou Reed, Joe Strummer, Suzanne Vega, Dave Stewart, Peter Gabriel, and many more. Robbie Robertson performs on one of the tracks.

A live show for the same project was broadcast on BBC in May, 1990, to an audience of over 200,000,000. The concert has been released on a video (One World One Voice, BMG Video 10054, 1993) that documents both the behind-the-scenes production and performance of this global concert.

The music on this album was first played to over a billion people around the world in May 1990 - The climax of the "One World" series on television. It is the ultimate global mix, the brainchild of Kevin Godley. Filmed and recorded on the road, it is a "chain tape", each of the musicians adding a new theme to the mix as Kevin's team toured the world. All profits will go to charities fighting e´nvironmental destruction and rising global poverty.

The music were recorded in The Shed, Maidenhead and Real World Studios, Bath (Peter Gabriels studio) among many others.
