Et comme par enchantement, bientôt une alchimie organique s'opère et de l'harmonie du cercle naît la musique de l'esprit. La Symphonie du Taudis... Alors passe le Cercle du Taudis.



This is the first album from a musical collective made up of members from Malka Family, Made in Paris, Tropical Express and Au Petit Bonheur. They were brought together because of a genuine urge to express themselves in a live context and wiht a creative freedom that is usually compromised by professional concerns. Relfecting Paris and its melting-pot of culture, it draws on influences from South America, Cuba, Africa and is seasoned with a pinh of funk and a large dollop of jazz. Recorded live with minimal overdubs, the entire project sparkles with harmonious horns and expressive piano playing - Taudi Symphony expresses the true ideal of Big Cheese Records, organic rythms and a sense of humour which counterbalance the gravity of urban life.



Das Debütalbum des Pariser Musiker-Kollektivs Taudi Symphony lädt ein zur jazzigen Reise durch drei Kontinente. Ob Samba, Salsa, afrikanische oder europäische Musik-Tradition: Gekonnt schmieden die 9 Jungs die verschiedenen Einflüsse zu ihrem eigenen, bläser- und rhythmusbetonten Sound, der durch die "quasi-live" Einspielung im Studio an Witz und Lebendigkeit seinesgleichen sucht. Wer Gelegenheit hat, die in diesem Jahr (1995!) geplante Tour zu besuchen, der sollte vor allem viel gute Laune und bequeme Schuhe mitbringen, denn diese Musik fordert gleich beide Tanzbeine. Hauptsache ist, die Band wird bei ihren Auftritten nicht nur in dunkle Clubs gesperrt: Die 12 Songs schreien einfach nach Sonne, blauem Himmel und dem ein oder anderen Campari-Orange: Musik für den Sommer.
