2011 LP VP Records (VPGSL5205)

Released in March 2011 by Greensleeves Records but originally created in the 1980's, Crucial in Dub by DJ Prince Jammy is a compilation of rare reggae dub tracks that were left behind due to the digital revolution of dancehall music. This 12-track LP offers audiences the experience of early and classic dub mixing that set the stage for dub music with a more modern and digital sound.

From the vaults – the long lost Prince Jammy dub album swept aside by the 80’s digital revolution, twelve crucial dubs arranged and produced by the mighty Prince Jammy himself. Hard to find dubs to Black Crucial “Mr Vincent”, Junior Reid “Higgler Move”, Anthony Johnson “Yah Wi Deh” etc. make this set a must own for all self-respecting dubheads and version fanatics, they will not be disappointed the dubs here are some of the finest ever to come out of that legendary Waterhouse studio. Who have ears to hear let them hear!
