Here's some hard driving boogie woogie with a great sound on the lower end of the piano! I fell in love with Michael Pewny's relentless left hand power right away and searched through the CD for more of the same. It starts off with the title cut, Vienna Boogie Woogie which is my favorite of the CD. Some great things must be going on in Vienna! There's alot of boogie here and it is all good. Then at the end, there is "No Time Without Boogie", you get a taste of some of the fastest left hand (that still grooves) you might hear for a while. He mixes in some standards (Honky Tonk Train) for those that love to hear the cover tunes and then a nice blend of slower material (How Long Blues) to set up the boogies. I'm very happy to have this recording of Michael Pewny. I must mention Torsten Zwingenberger on drum accompaniement. He supports every groove and adds immeasuralby to the powerful delivery of this great boogie woogie feeling. He makes this a fantastic duo combination!
