"YOU CAN RUN...", the exciting debut album from H20, illustrates producer/ brainchild Oliver Stumm's musical versatility and unorthodox approach to songwriting and production. The album crosses a wide spectrum of styles: it is definitely not your "standard" house record. Rather, it is built entirely on underground club and street culture with a commercial sensibility. Various elements from the last 20 years of dance music are included on the album, from soul and funk to house, disco and electro.

"YOU CAN RUN..." is a dynamic album that contains the timeless, international club anthems "Take Me Higher" and "Nobody's Business" (both featuring garage house diva, Billie). It also features the funky, electro / disco driven "DeeJay", "All Over Your Face" and "Got To Be Me" (both with the astounding vocals of Gianni Gabriel) and the hypnotic title track (with vocalist Billie). Each song on the full-length possesses its own space and mood, but when combined together, they create a powerfully coherent and consistent work.

This album is a multiple timewarp. Funk, Soul, Electro, house, H2O's first album is certainly all of that and more. Not really your everyday dance album. Although this mish-mash could sound a bit too much, You Can Run... offers variety AND quality. This record will make you dance, jive and move more than a rat on a cocktail of class-A drugs. There is no way anyone in their right mind would miss this album. We don't need to say anymore, just get it and you will understand why we love this record so much!
