Unbelievable return with their legendary album 'Disco Alliance'
Microphone Records has been released Zodiac legendary albums 'Disco Alliance' and 'Music In The Universe' ! Hopefully, the new issue of the album could get at least a part of success this album gained in 1980 when it, seems - for ever, gained the tittle 'The Best Selling Latvian Album Ever and Forever'. All of this begins on 1980, when Latvian composer Janis Lüsens, affected by the music of the groups 'Space' set up a group 'ZODIAC'. In co-operation with the only, at that moment, sound recording studio in the country (the former USSR) State company 'Melodya' released their debut album 'DISCO ALLIANCE'. This albums was released all over former Soviet Union. It was also released in Japan, Austria, Finland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia and Poland. The total quantity of the copies sold in the countries was more than 20 million copies ! Music from this album had been used in 6 movies, 17 documentaries as well as in countless TV programs in 8 countries across the world . Now, on 1999, 'ZODIAC' had returned to the melodies what once brought them name and popularity. Record company 'Mikrofona Ieraksti' takes 'Zodiac' for their Dance priority act and is going to arrange wide activities, to assist the band in regaining their positions as well as to become the European 'Dance Chart breakers 2000'.

They say 20 million copies of this album were sold during the 1980s when we still had vinyl and the Soviet Union. This double-CD (and double-cassette) includes the original "Disco Alliance" electronic pop tracks as well as tracks from Zodiac's "Music in the Universe" album. Also included are several "Disco Alliance" tracks remixed by Latvian electronica artists of the late 1990s, including Pamatinstinkts and Skybridge.

The new remixies are made to old ZODIAC's songs what we could listen in the early 80'ties in "Disco Alliance" album. The album was selled in former USSR teritory in 20(!!!) million copies!!! Some songs remixed by dance group PAMATINSTINKTS ("basic instincts").
