Though born in Jamaica, vocalist Precious Wilson spent her childhood in
England, later moving to Connecticut. She sang gospel extensively as a
teen before returning to England. Wilson joined the Silent Eruption,
which later became Eruption, and recorded singles produced by Frank
Farlan. Farlan produced Wilson's Epic debut LP in 1981, On The Race
Track, and the singles "If I Loved You Less" and "I Need You" in 1985.
Her single "I'll Be Your Friend" reached the R&B Top 40 in America
and did even better internationally.
I can't stand the rain 'gainst my window
Bringing back sweet memories
Ican't stand the rain 'gainst my window
'Cause he's not here with me
Hey window pain do you remember
How sweet it used to be
When we were together
Everything was so grand, yes it was
Now that we've parted
There's one sound that I just can't stand...
Alone with the pillow
Where his head used to lay, yeah
I know you've got some sweet memories
But like a window you ain't got nothin' to say
I can't stand the rain 'gainst my window
Bringing back sweet memories, hey
I can't stand the rain, ooh
'Gainst my window, oh no no
'Cause he's not here with me, uh
Alone with the pillow uh uh
Where his head used to lay, yeah
I know you've got some sweet memories
But like a window you ain't got nothin' to say, hey hey
Uh, uh, I can't stand the rain...
(I can't I can't I can't can't stand the rain)...
Baby, uh, uh, uh, hey hey
Ooh, ooh, uh, uh, hey
Don't you know, 't you think...
No no ooh oooohh hey hey hey hey hey, no
Dum dum dum dum dum dum dum dum dum dum dum
Oohh !... Get off my window...
(I can't I can't I can't can't stand the rain)...
Get off my window now, get off my window
Get off my window nah, I can't stand the rain
I can't stand the rain, ooh, can't stand the rain, oh
One way ticket
One way ticket, one way ticket
One way ticket, one way ticket
One way ticket, one way ticket
To the blues
Choo choo train a chugging down the track
Gotta travel on never coming back
Woo woo got a oneway ticket to the blues
Bye bye love my baby`s leaving me
Now lovely teardrops are all that I can see
Woo woo got a one way ticket to the blues
I’m gonna take a trip to lonesome town
Gonna stay at heart break hotel
A fool such as I there never was
I cry a tear so well
One way ticket, one way ticket
One way ticket, one way ticket
One way ticket, one way ticket
To the blues
Choo choo train a chugging down the track
Gotta travel on never coming back
Woo woo got a one way ticket to the blues
I’m gonna take a trip to lonesome town
Gonna stay at heart break hotel
A fool such as I there never was
I cry a tear so well
One way ticket, one way ticket
One way ticket, one way ticket
One way ticket, one way ticket
To the blues
Choo choo train a chugging down the track
Gotta travel on never coming back
Woo woo got a one way ticket to the blues
Woo woo got a one way ticket to the blues
Woo woo got a one way ticket to the blues
Go Johnnie Go
He was a lonely boy from nowhere´s land
Trying to find a place to lay his head
For he knew for sure that no one cared
So he tried his best now everywhere
Go Johnny go,go Johnny go,go Johnny go
Go Johnny go,go Johnny go,go Johnny go,go,go
Oh,he was a lonely boy from nowhere´s land,...
Listen John B. you are so young
There is a place, somewhere over yonder
Where you can go,to see some wonders
Where even birds don´t need to fly
Keep on walking,come to eleven
Won´t belong, before you reach your heaven
Keep on walking,...
Keep on walking,...
Keep on walking,...
Go Johnny go,go Johnny go,go Johnny go
Go Johnny go,go Johnny go,go Johnny go,go,go
Oh,he was a lonely boy from nowhere´s land,...
Listen John B.,you are so young,...
Keep on walking,come to eleven
Won´t belong, before you reach your heaven
Keep on walking,...
