While he made many groundbreaking singles, Kurtis Blow was never a
consistent album artist, making this best-of collection his definitive
artistic statement. Throughout the early '80s, Blow helped define what
rap could do, and these tracks confirm his status as one of hip-hop's
legendary acts.

Never Again...
It's a shame that I got this CD all scratched up. I had discarded it
because someone in school (when I was in the 9th grade) made fun of me
for having this CD because it was old school music. They were like "you
listen to this stuff." Now, I am much older and wiser and I would've
easily told them to go the hell. Let this be a word to everyone, listen
to what you want to listen to, don't let other people dictate to you
what's good, only you know. Anyways, on to the CD, it's full of all of
my favorites such as the dance floor rocker "If I Rule The World," the
sweet sounds of "Daydreamin'," "America," the socially poignant "I'm
Chillin," (which I affectionately call "Transformers (More Than Meets
The Eye)"), everybody's favorite "The Breaks" and the go-go-ness of
"Starlife." This CD is worth the money and will conjure up images of
good times and parties. Recommended.

Partysong "Christmas Rappin'" erscheint). Obwohl Kurtis Blows
